About sECOnd life

sECOnd life is a consignment and retail shop that offers new and recycled fashion as well as skateboard and snowboard items. Our goal is to assemble a cherry-picked collection of clothing, footwear, accessories. We have everything from vintage/retro to modern day clothes and styles from thrift store to designer. Due to our affiliation with G-Spot Skateboards and Snowboards we also carry an assortment of items by skate and snowboard brands.

What’s sECOnd life about?

It’s pretty simple… combining consumerism, conservation and consciousness. There are so many ways to look at this…

• Economy and Consumerism…the economy has definitely seen better days and who knows what we are in store for. We are all trying to save here and there. Prices are rising but our needs are not exactly changing. We all need a way to get more for our money.
• Fashion is fast paced and often on impulse… We buy it, we wear it (or sometimes don’t even get around to taking the tags off) , and we are over it. The style, the color, the brand, or the fit is wrong. So stuff just sits around our house. Its too good to donate but we still never use it. We all need a way to get rid of unused and unwanted stuff
• Green is the new black. It is estimated that as a nation we discard two quadrillion pounds (hello! that’s a two with fifteen zeroes) of used clothing and textiles every year (see fashion really IS fast paced!) Most of us don’t necessarily have bad, out-of-style stuff. We are just bored of what we have, it fits us wrong or we just have too much.

So to sum this up… if you’re more economicly conscious then sECOnd life is a great place to save and even make money. And fashion is for a moment but fabric and pollution lasts. Why not recycle clothing? If its new to you then its new!

Consign your stuff with us to get cash back or store credit

We all have stuff just sitting around that we no longer use, want or need. Turn your cast-offs into cash. All you need to do is round up these items and bring them in to consign with us. Your quality castoffs must be in good condition (if you are unsure bring it in, we will gladly donate any items that are not in good enough condition to consign). When you drop your items off you choose whether you would like us to send you a 50% commission check or a 75% store credit once the items sell. Your store credit can also be used at our affiliate store Gspot Skate and Snow. It’s easier then eBay!

How we get our inventory

• CONSIGNMENT. For the consignment process, people bring in their new or gently used stuff to sell . After their items sell, Second Life offers either cash back or a store credit to either G-Spot or back to Second Life. This is a great way to recycle clothing.
• DISCOUNT SKATE and SNOW BRANDS. Second Life is affiliated with G-Spot Skateboard and Snowboard Shop. When G-spot’s floor space gets too full, out of season and discounted merchandise gets moved over to Second Life. These items are all brand new.
• SAMPLES and LOCAL DESIGNERS. We also have developed relationships with various brands or local artists that have consigned their brand samples or their own designs in our store. This means you can get new items often get before it is even released to the general public. Or you can get a one-of-a-kind piece and support a budding entrepreneur.
• ECO-FRIENDLY or SOCIALLY CONSCIOUS LABELS. We will be carrying a selection of products that are from eco or socially conscious companies. American Apparel (sweatshop free labor) is the first brand of this division.
